Kentucky Pecan Pie

1 cup white corn syrup

1 cup dark brown sugar

1/3 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup melted butter

1 teaspoon vanilla

3 whole eggs (slightly beaten)

1 cup whole pecans

Combine syrup, sugar, salt, butter, vanilla and mix well.  Add eggs.  Pour into a 9 inch UNBAKED pie shell.  Sprinkle pecans over all.  Bake in pre-heated 350F oven for approximately 45 minutes.  When cool, you may top with whipped cream or ice cream.
