Cherry Torte 

serves 9 -12 Michael’s favorite

1 ¼ cup sugar                                       1 teaspoon cinnamon                1 cup flour

1 teaspoon baking soda                        1 cup chopped nuts                  dash salt


2 cups drained red tart cherries 1 egg beaten                             1 T butter, melted


Mix the dry and the wet separately and then fold together until dry is moistened.


Bake at 350 F for one hour in an ungreased 9 x 9 pan.  Top with whipped cream.
