Cherries in the snow

1 angel food cake                     ½ cup sugar                              8 oz cream cheese

1 cup milk                                1 large container cool whip       1 can cherry pie filling


Break cake into small pieces and set aside.  Mix milk and sugar in another bowl until dissolved.  Mix cream cheese with cool whip.  Combine both mixtures together.  Fold into cake and put in a 9 x 13 pan.  Put cherry pie filling on top and chill.
