Apricot Scones

Sift together:  2 ½ cups of flour 2 ½ tsp of baking powder

½ teaspoon of baking soda

1 stick of butter “cold and cut into small pieces”

Mix w/ flour with your hands until it resembles corn meal

1 egg and ½ cup of half and half; beat together

¾ cup of apricots chopped; mix with 2/3 cup of sugar

Add the dry & wet ingredients together until moist.

Batter will be lumpy.  Squeeze into a balls.

Makes 12 scones.  Bake at 400 F for 15 minutes
